The Exhibition Department, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, Bangkok in collaboration with Cemeti Art House, Kedai Kebun Forum, Ruang MES 56, present a traveling project, Concept Context Contestation: art and the collective in Southeast Asia, Jogjakarta version. The project aims to create dialogue between Southeast Asians about ideas, culture, and contemporary art discourse in the region and beyond. 

Along with the exhibition, there will be a two-day educational forum, the CCC forum to explore various issues in depth. This free, public program will comprise moderated round-table discussions and presentations focusing on numerous aspects of Southeast Asian Art, including its historical frame-work, setting the project in context; Southeast Asian art’s conceptual strategies as a curatorial discourse; Indonesian contemporary art; and curatorial issues such as the regional and global translation of Southeast Asian contemporary art, among others. The program involves distinguished local and international participants from all branches of the field, artists, art historians, curators, critics, educators, and cultural organisers.
